Business Analyst | Motilal Oswal

We require a Business Analyst to create business insights and advocate improvements the candidate who can understand the business and domain data, crunch large and complex data sets to detect problems and generate insights for key business stakeholders and management.

Role & responsibilities

• To drive detailed data analytics covering different business units and be able to handle large amount of data sets and create meaningful insights
• To analyse and give timely insights on performance for management review and discussion
• To constantly engage with business and perform market review and competitor analysis of developments/new trends in different business units
• To create performance dashboards and be able to support in providing analytics for business reviews
• Translate business requirements and hypotheses into analyses and insights to aid business decision making
• Conduct full lifecycle activities which include project requirement, data collection, data cleaning, data exploration/analysis and analytics
• Conceptualize KPIs to measure, track and benchmark performance in various aspects of business
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to manage data logistics (including data transfers, understanding data structures, business rules, business processes and problems etc.) for efficient project execution
• Appropriately own and be accountable for the timelines and quality of all assignments

To work closely with senior management on niche analytics projects

Preferred candidate profile

• Should have good knowledge of MS-excel
• Proficient in SQL
• Worked on R/Python
• Strong expertise in communication, presentation skills
• Should have excellent problem-solving skills
• Efficiently work on multiple tools
• Interpretation of data, deep understanding of data analysis, and ability to translate complex data sets and ideas into simple visualizations and insights
• Ability to work with structured as well as unstructured data
• Must be able to prioritize multiple assignments, with a high degree of accuracy and function quickly in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment

Experience Required

• Minimum 3-4 years of experience
• Must have worked on large data sets
• Good exposure with Business data; must have worked on Business Analytics projects
• Knowledge of financial markets
• Add-on:-Worked on Business Intelligence tools (Power BI/Tableau)
