Job Description

The Key Account Manager will play a pivotal role in Morepen Rx Business Success, responsible for nurturing and maintaining relationships with key clients, including hospitals, institutions, government hospitals, and procurement teams. This role requires a strategic approach to account management, focusing on understanding client needs, providing exceptional service, and driving business growth.


Key Responsibilities:

  1. Client Relationship Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with key clients, including hospitals, government hospitals, and procurement teams. Act as the primary point of contact for client inquiries, concerns, and business opportunities. Conduct regular meetings with clients to understand their needs, address any issues, and identify opportunities for collaboration and growth.
  2. Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities within existing key accounts. Collaborate with internal teams, including sales, marketing, and product development, to develop strategies for expanding business with key clients. Stay updated on industry trends, market developments, and competitor activities to identify potential business opportunities.
  3. Account Planning and Strategy: Develop strategic account plans for key clients, outlining objectives, tactics, and timelines for achieving business goals. Analyze client data and market insights to identify areas for improvement and develop strategies to enhance client satisfaction and loyalty. Monitor key account performance against established metrics and take corrective actions as needed to ensure targets are met or exceeded.
  4. Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with internal departments, including sales, marketing, supply chain, and finance, to ensure alignment on client needs and business objectives. Coordinate with the sales team to ensure effective communication and seamless execution of account strategies and initiatives.
  5. Contract Negotiation and Management: Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with key clients, ensuring alignment with company policies and objectives. Monitor contract compliance and performance, addressing any discrepancies or issues in a timely manner. Renew and renegotiate contracts as needed, leveraging insights and feedback from clients to enhance value propositions.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Pharmacy, or related field. Advanced degree or MBA preferred.
  • Proven experience of more than 5+ Years in key account management, preferably in the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry.
  • Strong understanding of the pharmaceutical market landscape, including knowledge of hospital procurement processes and regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to develop and execute account plans to drive business growth.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite and CRM software.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to travel as needed to meet with clients and attend industry events.
