Job Description

As the Country Manager for API Sales in the Russia/CIS market, you will be responsible for leading and driving the sales strategy and operations for our API (Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient) products within the region. This role requires a dynamic individual with a deep understanding of the pharmaceutical industry, exceptional leadership skills, and a proven track record of success in sales management.


Key Responsibilities:

1. Sales Strategy Development:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies to penetrate and expand market share in the US API market.
  • Identify key market trends, customer needs, and competitor activities to drive strategic decision-making.
  • Set clear sales targets and objectives aligned with overall business goals.

2. Team Leadership and Management:

  • Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing sales team, providing guidance, support, and motivation to achieve sales targets.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations, provide constructive feedback, and implement training programs to enhance team capabilities.
  • Foster a collaborative and results-driven culture within the sales team.

3. Customer Relationship Management:

  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key customers, distributors, and stakeholders in the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Actively engage with customers to understand their needs, address concerns, and identify opportunities for business growth.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams such as marketing, product development, and operations to ensure alignment with customer requirements.

4. Market Expansion and Business Development:

  • Explore new business opportunities and potential partnerships to expand market presence and revenue streams.
  • Lead negotiations with clients, ensuring favourable terms and conditions while maximizing profitability.
  • Monitor market dynamics, regulatory changes, and industry developments to adapt sales strategies accordingly.

5. Performance Analysis and Reporting:

  • Utilize data analytics and sales performance metrics to track progress against sales targets and identify areas for improvement.
  • Prepare regular reports and presentations for senior management, providing insights into sales performance, market trends, and forecasts.
  • Implement corrective actions and initiatives to optimize sales efficiency and effectiveness.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in business administration, Marketing, or a related field; MBA preferred.
  • Proven experience in pharmaceutical sales, with a focus on API products, preferably in a leadership role.
  • In-depth knowledge of the US pharmaceutical market, including regulatory requirements, market dynamics, and customer segments.
  • Strong leadership abilities with a track record of building and managing high-performing sales teams.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to develop and execute sales plans to drive business growth.
  • Analytical mindset with proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools.
  • Results-oriented mindset with a focus on achieving sales targets and driving bottom-line performance.
