Job Description

Role/Responsibilities:
Design, implement, and manage messaging solutions using Amazon MSK (Managed Streaming for Kafka), ActiveMQ, and Amazon SQS (Simple Queue Service).
Collaborate with development teams to integrate messaging technologies into applications, ensuring reliable communication and data exchange across microservices and distributed systems.
Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize messaging infrastructures to achieve high availability, fault tolerance, and low latency.
Develop and enforce best practices for messaging, including message schema design, message security, and disaster recovery strategies.
Participate in the evaluation and selection of messaging technologies and tools to meet evolving business requirements.
Provide technical guidance and support to development teams on messaging patterns, message-driven architectures, and event sourcing.
Stay current with emerging trends and advancements in cloud messaging technologies, evaluating their applicability to our environment.

Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
4+ years of experience in designing and implementing messaging solutions using Amazon MSK, ActiveMQ, and Amazon SQS.
Strong understanding of message queueing, stream processing, and highly scalable big data data stores.
Proficiency in cloud computing platforms, preferably AWS, including services related to computing, storage, networking, and security.
Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.
Familiarity with continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines and automation tools.
Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve issues in complex, distributed systems.
Strong communication skills, capable of effectively collaborating with cross-functional teams and explaining complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
