Experience Level: Experienced Hire
- Proven experience as a database administrator, with a minimum of 3-7 years in roles focusing on MSSQL environments as primary skills.
- Strong experience with cloud services, specifically Azure and AWS, including database services such as Azure SQL Database, Amazon RDS, and Amazon Aurora.
- Optional - NoSQL Experience is plus like Mongo, Document DB.
- Expertise in database design, implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
- Familiarity with database scripting and automation tools.
- Solid understanding of data privacy laws and best practices in database security.
- Certifications in MSSQL, Azure, or AWS database technologies are highly desirable
- Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Design, implement, and maintain database systems for high availability and reliability.
- Perform database administration tasks, including backup and recovery, patching, and performance tuning on MSSQL databases.
- Migrate databases to cloud environments and manage cloud-based databases on Azure and AWS.
- Monitor database performance, implement changes, and apply new patches and versions when required.
- Ensure database security by managing access controls, auditing activities, and assessing vulnerabilities.
