Assistant Bridge Design Engineer

Job Summary:

The Bridge Design Engineer will be responsible for the design, analysis, and development of bridge structures. This role involves working on a variety of bridge projects, from GAD to design. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in bridge engineering, proficiency in design software, and a commitment to delivering safe and efficient structures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and Analysis: Develop detailed bridge designs and perform structural analysis using engineering principles and software tools (e.g., Midas, STAAD.Pro, LARS).
• Project Management: Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure project milestones and deadlines are met.
• Technical Documentation: Prepare and review technical reports, design specifications, calculations, and other project documentation.
• Compliance and Standards: Ensure all designs comply with relevant codes, standards, and regulations, including local, national, and international requirements.
• Problem Solving: Address and resolve design issues and challenges that arise during the project lifecycle.
• Collaboration: Work closely with multidisciplinary teams
• Innovation: Stay updated on the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices in bridge design.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field. A Masters degree is preferred.
• Experience: 5-7 years of experience in bridge design and engineering, including experience with design software and tools.
• Skills:
• Proficiency in bridge design and analysis software (e.g., SAP2000, STAAD.Pro, LARS, AutoCAD).
• Strong understanding of bridge engineering principles, design codes, and construction techniques.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively.
• Work Environment: Ability to work in both office and field settings, including occasional site visits and travel.
