PLC Engineer/Technician

Role & responsibilities

• Monitor and ensure the proper functioning of PLC systems in day-to-day operations.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues with PLCs, ensuring minimal downtime and system efficiency.
• Conduct regular inspections, maintenance, and upgrades of PLC systems and associated equipment.
• Ensure the timely installation and commissioning of new PLC systems and automation processes.
• Support engineers in PLC programming, configuration, and optimization of control systems.
• Provide training and technical guidance to staff on PLC systems, operations, and troubleshooting.
• Maintain accurate records and reports related to PLC maintenance, updates, and inspections.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure the effective integration of PLC systems into production workflows.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards during the operation of PLC-controlled systems.
• Participate in system audits, evaluations, and performance optimization initiatives

Preferred candidate profile

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Automation, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in PLC system operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
• Proficiency with PLC brands such as Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Mitsubishi, or Schneider.
• Strong understanding of SCADA, HMI systems, and communication protocols.
• Experience in working with industrial machinery, sensors, and automation tools.
• Knowledge of electrical schematics, diagrams, and programming languages like Ladder Logic.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and in a team-oriented environment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety standards.
