ModMed is hiring a driven Senior Software Engineer 1 to join our positive, passionate, and high-performing team .

Your Role :

We are seeking an innovative individual who is passionate about quality, technology and fulfilling customer needs.

This person will be part of one of our cross-functional teams, and take ownership of planning, analyzing and developing our software.

This job, based in Berlin, Germany, entails working directly with engineering teams across Europe and collaborating with a US-based Product and Customer Success team.

Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and maintain complex and scalable front-end applications using modern JavaScript frameworks (React preferred).

- Write clean, well-documented, and testable code adhering to best practices and coding standards.

- Collaborate closely with UX/UI designers to translate designs into pixel-perfect and responsive user interfaces.

- Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design, development, testing, and deployment.

- Troubleshoot and debug issues effectively and efficiently.

- Stay up-to-date with the latest front-end technologies and industry best practices.

- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the growth of the team.

- Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback.

- Contribute to the improvement of our development processes and tools.

Qualifications :

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.

- 3+ years of professional experience in front-end development.

- Strong proficiency in JavaScript, including ES6+ features.

- In-depth experience with React or another modern JavaScript framework (Angular, Vue.js).

- Experience with HTML5, CSS3, and preprocessors (Sass, Less).

- Experience with state management libraries (Redux, Zustand, etc.).

- Experience with testing frameworks (Jest, Enzyme, Cypress).

- Experience with version control systems (Git).

- Strong understanding of RESTful APIs and data fetching techniques.

- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

- Passion for building high-quality user experiences.

- A strong portfolio of personal or professional projects showcasing your front-end development skills.
