Position Summary :
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Senior Engineer to join our dynamic team. As a privacy analyst, you will play a critical role in ensuring compliance with global data protection regulations, safeguarding personal data and embedding privacy best practices within our operations.
The role involves identifying and mitigating privacy risks, maintaining regulatory documents, and providing cross-regional privacy support. Strong analytical skills, experience in privacy compliance, and excellent communication abilities are essential for this position.
Job Description :
- Monitor and interpret data protection regulations such as GDPR, PDPA, DPDPA, CCPA, etc.
- Identify key risks associated with business processes/ applications and prepare mitigation plan.
- Conduct Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs) & privacy risk assessments.
- Maintain personal data inventory for the business functions.
- Assist in developing and maintaining privacy policies, standards, and procedures.
- Monitor cross-border flow of personal data and establish controls such as Transfer Impact Assessments, Data Transfer Agreements, Binding Corporate Rules.
- Conduct Third Party Risk Assessments and implement solutions such as Data Processing Agreements.
- Support the implementation of privacy frameworks aligned with organizational goals.
- Prepare content and conduct privacy training & awareness sessions.
- Support the investigation and resolution of data breaches or privacy incidents.
- Handle 'Data Subject Rights' requests.
- Implement and manage privacy initiatives such as Cookie Consent Module; Data Mapping; PIA & DPIA; Vendor Management; Consent Collection Module on privacy tools.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address privacy risks promptly.
- Partner with Legal, IT, security, and other teams to ensure integrated privacy governance.
- Monitor data flows and ensure appropriate data processing activities.
Profile Description :
- Bachelor's or master's degree in law/ Information Technology/ Computer Science/ Engineering, or related field. Certifications like CIPP/E, CIPM, or CIPT are a plus.
- 2-7 years of relevant experience in privacy, compliance, or data protection roles, preferably within multinational environments.
- Understanding of global data privacy regulations and frameworks (GDPR, CCPA, PDPA, DPDPA, etc).
- Familiarity with Privacy tools (OneTrust/ BigID/ etc), data mapping, and information governance practices.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and articulate technical concepts to diverse audiences.
- Ability to work independently as well as lead a team of junior resources, demonstrating adaptability and flexibility in a dynamic work environment.
