Network Security Engineer (3-4 yrs)

Job Description :

MindSprint is seeking a talented Network Security Engineer to join our dynamic team in Chennai. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in network security and be responsible for protecting our network infrastructure and data from cyber threats.

Key Responsibilities :

Network Security Management :

- Monitor and manage the organization's network security infrastructure.

- Implement security measures to safeguard sensitive data and maintain compliance with industry standards.

Incident Response :

- Respond to security incidents and provide effective resolutions to minimize impact.

- Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.

Security Audits & Assessments :

- Perform regular security audits and vulnerability assessments to identify potential threats.

- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure security best practices are followed.

Policy Development :

- Develop and maintain network security policies, procedures, and standards.

- Educate staff on security awareness and best practices.

Collaboration & Reporting

- Work closely with cross-functional teams to improve overall security posture.

- Prepare reports on security incidents, vulnerabilities, and risk assessments.

Must-Have Skills :

- Strong experience in network security protocols and technologies.

- Proficiency with firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and VPNs.

- Knowledge of security frameworks and compliance standards (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST).

- Experience with security tools and software for monitoring and analysis.

Qualifications :

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

- Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CEH) are a plus.
