Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Business Development & Sales Growth:
    • Identify new business opportunities in the residential, commercial, and industrial (C&I) solar sectors.
    • Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue targets.
    • Build a strong sales pipeline through networking, referrals, and lead generation.
  2. Customer Relationship Management:
    • Engage with potential customers, understand their energy needs, and offer customized solar solutions.
    • Maintain strong relationships with existing clients and ensure customer satisfaction.
    • Address client queries and concerns related to solar installations, financing options, and project timelines.
  3. Team Leadership & Training:
    • Lead and mentor a team of solar sales executives to maximize productivity.
    • Conduct training sessions to enhance the teams knowledge of solar technology, sales techniques, and market trends.
    • Set performance goals and monitor progress.
  4. Market Research & Strategy Development:
    • Analyze market trends, competitor strategies, and customer demands to refine sales tactics.
    • Develop and implement innovative marketing and promotional campaigns.
    • Work closely with the marketing team to enhance brand visibility.
  5. Proposal, Tendering & Negotiation:
    • Prepare and present compelling proposals and quotations to potential clients.
    • Negotiate contract terms and close high-value deals.
    • Participate in government tenders and corporate bidding processes.
  6. Coordination with Internal Teams:
    • Work collaboratively with the project execution, finance, and customer service teams to ensure seamless project implementation.
    • Ensure smooth handover of sales contracts to the operations team.

Key Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in sales, preferably in the solar/renewable energy sector.
  • Strong knowledge of solar PV technology, policies, and incentives in India.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Proven track record in B2B and B2C sales, with the ability to close large deals.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and digital marketing tools.
  • Strong leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and drive a team.
  • Willingness to travel extensively across different regions as required.
