Senior Engineer/ Assistant Manager- Validation

Experience

• Minimum 6 to 8 years of experience in Embedded Product testing, Software testing OR PLC programming.
• Candidates Preferred with experience of using Products in factory automation domain.

Key responsibilities

• Define and develop product specifications and requirements for factory automation products.
• Develop and implement validation strategies, plans as per product development process of for factory automation products .
• Design and execute validation tests, including functional, performance, reliability, and regulatory compliance testing, using appropriate test methods and equipments.
• Analyze test results, identify issues and deviations, and work collaboratively with the development teams to troubleshoot and resolve technical problems.
• Generate validation reports and documentation, summarizing test procedures, results.
• Communicate with customer, customer support team and marketing team for requirement understanding and support.
• Prepare customer documentation.

Knowledge or skills Required

• Previous experience as a testing / validation engineer or in a similar role.
• Ability to design and write complex software / firmware testing procedures.
• Preferred knowledge on Factory Automation Products like PLC, HMI, SCADA.
• Preferred knowledge of IEC61131-3 Languages and Concepts of PLC Programming. Basic level of understanding and confidence of C programming language is required.
• Preferred knowledge of Digital and Analog interfaces, High speed I/Os, Serial communication, Ethernet communication, and Fieldbus Protocols Modbus, Ethernet/IP, CC-Link, Profinet, IO-Link, cloud connectivity etc.
• Knowledge of test automation, NI-Labview, Python for testing will be added advantage.
• Preferred certification Software testing (ISTQB foundation) , HIL testing etc.
