MitKat is seeking a Shift Lead for its esteemed Global IT MNC Client. This role will be embedded within the Transport Command Center team.
Role:
The TCC Shift Lead will play a crucial role in overseeing the deployment and performance of the TCC team, specifically focusing on transport operations and crisis management. The successful candidate will serve as the primary point of contact during critical transport-related situations, ensuring smooth operations and effective resolution of issues. Additionally, they will be responsible for maintaining detailed shift reports, tracking transport metrics, managing complaints/ alarms, managing internal customers, facilitating seamless handovers to ensure continuity of travel operations, compliance, and to work towards minimal transport related adverse incidents.
Key Responsibilities:
The TCC Shift Lead will be accountable for:
Transport Team Deployment Management:
Supervise the deployment of team members according to transport operational needs and shift schedules.
Allocate resources efficiently to meet workload demands and maintain optimal staffing levels.
Monitor the performance of transport team members, providing guidance, support, and coaching as needed to ensure high standards of performance in transport operations.
Crisis Management Support:
Act as the first point of contact for transport-related incident situations, providing immediate support and guidance to resolve issues effectively.
Implement crisis management protocols specific to transport operations and coordinate with relevant stakeholders to mitigate risks and minimize disruptions.
Demonstrate strong leadership and maintain composure under pressure, guiding the transport team through challenging situations.
Transport Shift Reporting Incident Management:
Maintain accurate and detailed shift reports specific to transport operations, documenting key activities, incidents, and noteworthy events.
Develop and maintain matrices to track transport operational metrics, including transport manpower and vehicle utilization and performance indicators.
Manage transport-related incidents and escalate as necessary to ensure timely resolution and minimal impact on transport operations.
Transport Handover Procedures Continuity:
Facilitate detailed handover procedures specific to transport operations between shifts, ensuring all relevant information is communicated effectively.
Provide comprehensive briefings to incoming staff, highlighting any outstanding issues, ongoing tasks, or critical transport updates.
Verify completion of handover tasks and confirm understanding before transitioning transport responsibilities to the next shift.
Transportation Vendor Management:
Manage relationships with transport vendors, and ensure services meet quality and security standards.
Monitor vendor performance, addressing any issues or deviations from agreements promptly to maintain smooth transport operations.
Collaborate with transport vendors to implement improvements and enhancements to transport services, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
Transport Compliance:
Ensure adherence to transport compliance standards and regulations, overseeing the implementation of established SOPs.
Stay updated on travel compliance regulations and industry best practices, implementing necessary changes to ensure continuous compliance.
Monitoring and Reporting:
Monitor transport issues and incidents in real-time according to established SOPs.
Log alarms and create initial incident reports, promptly notifying shift leads for further action.
Stakeholder Management:
Build and maintain relationships with drivers, transport vendors, clients, and other stakeholders.
Address concerns, provide support, and ensure effective communication to foster positive relationships.
Basic Requirements Qualifications:
Bachelor s degree in business administration, Management, or a related field preferred.
Experience of 6-8 years in in a supervisory or managerial role, preferably in a dynamic operational environment
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with the capacity to interact confidently with diverse stakeholders.
Sound decision-making skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively, especially during high-pressure situations.
Proficiency in documenting and maintaining records, with keen attention to detail.
Flexibility to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
Prior experience in crisis management or incident response is desirable.
