Responsibilities:

Server Maintenance:

• Perform routine maintenance tasks on servers, including updates, patches, and backups to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
• Monitor server health and troubleshoot issues as they arise, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum uptime for
• CAD tool users.
• Manage server security configurations and implement measures to protect against cyber threats and unauthorized access.
• Manage load and peaks for compute, RAM and storage across teams
• Good working knowledge on LSF or equivalent

CAD Tool Installation and Configuration:

• Install, configure, and maintain CAD software tools used by design teams for electronic design automation (EDA) and integrated circuit (IC) design.
• Collaborate with CAD tool vendors to evaluate new releases, updates, and patches, and coordinate their installation and deployment.
• Customize CAD tool environments to meet the specific needs of design teams, including user interface configurations, license management, and integration with other software tools.

Scripting and Automation:

• Develop and maintain scripts and automation tools to streamline repetitive tasks and enhance efficiency in CAD tool usage and server maintenance.
• Automate software installations, updates, and license management processes to reduce manual intervention and improve workflow productivity.
• Write scripts for monitoring server performance metrics, generating reports, and alerting administrators to potential issues or performance bottlenecks.

Technical Support:

• Provide technical support and assistance to CAD tool users, addressing inquiries, troubleshooting issues, and offering guidance on best practices for tool usage.
• Create documentation, tutorials, and knowledge base articles to support self-service troubleshooting and knowledge sharing among users.

Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in computer science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Must have Experience with server administration, including Linux/Unix and Windows operating systems.
• Must have Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment and provide technical support to end-users.
• Prior experience in a similar role, preferably in a semiconductor or electronics industry setting, is desirable.
