Job Description

The Head of Sales for Academia is responsible for driving sales and business development within the academic sector. They focus on building strong relationships with educational institutions, universities, and research centers to promote products, services, and solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute sales strategies targeting academic institutions and research organizations.
  • Manage a sales team and oversee all aspects of the sales process, including lead generation and closing deals.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (marketing, product development, customer service) to ensure alignment with academic needs.
  • Identify and pursue opportunities for growth within the academic sector.
  • Conduct market research and maintain knowledge of the latest trends in academia and education.
  • Build strong relationships with key stakeholders and maintain customer satisfaction.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Education, or related field. MBA preferred.
  • Proven experience in sales leadership within the academic or educational sector.
  • Strong understanding of academic products, software, and services.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to manage budgets and sales forecasting.
