Job Description

Job Summary:

Business Development Manager (BDM) for Government Sales, will be responsible for driving revenue and growth opportunities within the government sector. He/ She will manage the sales cycle from prospecting and lead generation to proposal development, negotiation, and closing deals. His/ Her Primary focus will be on selling IT solutions and services as an IT system integrator to government agencies, public sector organizations, and related entities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Business Development and Strategy:
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the government sector for IT solutions and system integration services.
  • Develop and execute a business development strategy that aligns with the companys objectives for growth in the public sector.
  • Establish strong relationships with government decision-makers, procurement officers, and key stakeholders.
  • Sales and Account Management:
  • Lead the end-to-end sales process for government contracts, including identifying needs, proposing solutions, and closing deals.
  • Negotiate contracts and pricing with government clients, ensuring compliance with government regulations and procurement processes.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of public sector procurement policies and tender processes.
  • Manage relationships with existing government clients to ensure customer satisfaction and explore further sales opportunities.
  • Market Research and Intelligence:
  • Conduct market research to identify emerging trends, new opportunities, and competitive intelligence in the government sector.
  • Stay updated on government budgets, upcoming projects, and technology trends affecting the public sector.
  • Proposal Development:
  • Work closely with technical teams to develop and deliver tailored proposals, presentations, and RFP responses.
  • Ensure that proposals are aligned with the governments needs and are compliant with relevant regulations.
  • Partnerships and Alliances:
  • Build and nurture relationships with key government vendors, contractors, and partners to increase business opportunities and enhance competitive positioning.
  • Identify and foster strategic partnerships that could lead to joint opportunities for public sector projects.

Qualifications:

  • Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, IT, Engineering, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • Experience:
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales/business development, with at least 3 years in government sales within the IT systems integration space.
  • Proven track record of successfully closing government contracts and managing high-value opportunities.
  • Skills & Competencies:
  • Strong knowledge of the public sector procurement process, including RFPs, RFQs, tenders, and government contracts.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with government agencies and stakeholders.
  • Solid understanding of IT solutions and services, including Network Infrastructure ,LAN WAN Technology, Server, Storage, Data Center ,cloud computing, cybersecurity, enterprise applications, and IT infrastructure.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite.
