Miko is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Manager, Accounts to lead our accounts team and ensure the smooth functioning of all financial operations. In this crucial role, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of accounting, from managing accounts payable and receivable to preparing financial statements and reports. You will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with tax regulations, and providing valuable financial insights to support informed decision-making.
Responsibilities:
Financial Management:
o Scrutinize entries in Tally, vendor GL, and confirm account balances.
o Ensure the correctness of all invoices, GST, TDS, etc., and post them in Tally.
o Prepare weekly MIS reports on fund flow positions for management review.
Accounts Payable & Receivable:
o Track US payments and coordinate with department heads for processing payments and scheduling wires.
o Collaborate with the US accounts team to maintain accurate and timely US books.
o Prepare Debtors' and Creditors' aging reports for effective credit control.
Payroll & Tax Management:
o Review payroll data and finalize employee salaries in the payroll portal.
o Review tax declarations for income tax exemptions for all employees.
o Attend meetings with statutory and internal auditors and prepare statements for tax audit reports.
Financial Reporting & Compliance:
o Prepare Annual Percentage Rates (APRs), Financial Limits (FLAs), and submit them to banks and the Registrar of Companies (ROC).
o Liaise with bankers to secure better financial services and terms.
o Prepare financial statements required for fundraising purposes.
Team Leadership:
o Provide guidance and mentorship to the accounts team.
o Ensure team members understand and adhere to accounting policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
B Com and Chartered Accountant (CA) or equivalent professional qualification.
Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a managerial accounting role.
Proven experience in managing all aspects of the accounting cycle, including accounts payable, receivable, payroll, and taxation.
Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices (GAAP, IFRS).
Proficiency in accounting software like Tally and knowledge of payroll processing systems.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
