Head of Operations

Experience Required: Minimum 5 years as Head of Operations in a relevant plant

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Operations to lead and manage operations in our plant specializing in 3D concrete printing. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil engineering, enhanced by an MBA, and a proven track record of effectively managing large teams, implementing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and driving operational excellence. Knowledge of ERP systems and experience in implementation will be a significant advantage.

Key Responsibilities

• Operational Leadership: Oversee all plant operations, ensuring adherence to predefined SOPs for seamless production and efficiency.
• Team Management: Lead and mentor a large team of professionals, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• Process Optimization: Identify discrepancies or inefficiencies in current processes and design, implement, and monitor new systems to enhance productivity and quality.
• ERP Implementation:
• Leverage knowledge of ERP systems to streamline operational processes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement ERP solutions, ensuring proper integration with plant operations.
• Train team members to use ERP tools effectively for operational transparency and data accuracy.
• Compliance and Quality Assurance: Ensure all operational activities comply with industry standards, safety regulations, and quality benchmarks.
• Strategic Planning: Develop and execute strategic plans aligned with organizational goals to enhance operational performance and profitability.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, production, and finance, to achieve organizational objectives.
• Problem-Solving: Analyze and resolve operational challenges, employing a data-driven approach to make informed decisions.
• Reporting: Provide regular reports to senior management on operational performance, key metrics, and improvement initiatives.

Qualifications and Skills

• Educational Background: Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering (mandatory)
• MBA in Operations Management, Business Administration, or related field (mandatory).
• Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience as Head of Operations in a plant dealing with precast concrete, RMC, or manufacturing of civil engineering products.
• Technical Skills: Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, plant operations, and civil engineering products.
• Proficient in analyzing operational data and implementing improvement processes.
• Knowledge of ERP systems with hands-on experience in ERP implementation and usage.
• Leadership Abilities:
• Proven track record in managing large teams and ensuring execution of SOPs.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Process Improvement: Expertise in identifying process discrepancies and introducing innovative, practical solutions.
