Job Description: Zonal Manager Marketing

(Agriculture Lightweight Equipment - Domestic Business)

Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Zonal Manager – Marketing to lead and oversee the growth, expansion, and overall success of our business operations in the designated zone. This senior leadership role will be responsible for shaping and executing strategic business plans, driving sales, optimizing profitability, and positioning the brand as a leader in the zone. The Zonal Manager will oversee the strategic, operational, and financial aspects of the agriculture lightweight equipment business. This role requires 10+ years of experience in the industry, fluency in English, Hindi and a proven ability to manage government departments, tenders, and projects effectively. The ideal candidate should be willing to travel extensively whenever required (minimum 18 days a month).

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Business Planning and Strategy Development:
  • Formulate, implement, and manage comprehensive business plans to achieve sustainable growth in the designated zone.
  • Define short-term and long-term objectives in alignment with overall organizational goals.
  • Oversee business financials and profitability, including cost control, pricing strategy, and revenue generation. Ensure efficient use of resources to achieve financial goals.
  1. Government and Tender Management in the designated zone:
    • Identify growth opportunities, particularly in government projects and tenders.
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with government departments and officials.
    • Lead the preparation, submission, and follow-up of tenders for government contracts.
    • Ensure compliance with all regulations and policies related to government projects.
  2. Business Growth and Expansion:
  • Take responsibility for driving business growth and identifying new market opportunities in the designated zone.
  • Build, strengthen, and manage a robust dealer network to enhance the company's reach and increase sales.
  • Spearhead initiatives to increase brand awareness, customer perception, market presence and revenue generation.
  • Lead efforts to build and position the company’s brand & after sales service activities in the designated zone.

4. Sales and Business Development in the designated zone:

    • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the relevant product market, including key trends, customer needs, and competitor landscape.
    • Regularly analyze competitor offerings, positioning, and strategies to identify opportunities and potential threats.
    • Drive sales strategies to expand the market footprint.
    • Negotiate and manage contracts with key clients and stakeholders.
    • Monitor competitor activities and market trends to maintain competitiveness.
  1. Team Leadership and Development:
  • Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing team in the designated zone.
    • Organize training programs to enhance team capabilities.
    • Foster a collaborative and results-driven work environment.

  1. Financial and Administrative Management:
    • Prepare and oversee budgets, ensuring profitability and cost control.
    • Draft and review important documents, contracts, and reports.
    • Utilize advanced computer skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) for data analysis and presentations.

7. Customer Satisfaction:

  • Ensure exceptional service levels and satisfaction for customers across all touchpoints for enhancing and maintaining high Brand Value in the designated zone.
  • Implement strategies to understand and meet customer needs while building strong relationships in the designated zone.

Qualifications:

  • Postgraduate degree in any field (preferred: Business Administration, Agriculture, or Engineering).
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in in a senior business leadership role, preferably as a Marketing Head or similar position in agriculture equipment industry.
  • Strong expertise in business planning, strategy, sales, marketing, and growth management.
  • Fluency in English, Hindi is mandatory.
  • Proficiency in computer software, including MS Excel, PowerPoint, Word & Email.
  • Expertise in drafting documents, tenders, and contracts.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Willingness to travel extensively (minimum 18 days a month).
