We are seeking an AWS cloud Engineer to join our growing team, as a part of our new Group Data Strategy, Data Lake Operations team. In this role, you will influence the business across Healthcare, Life Sciences, Performance Materials, and Enabling Functions. Together we will create solutions that provide a seamless, highly scalable omnichannel experience for a multi-billion-dollar enterprise. You will collaborate closely with the Organization Data office to maintain Data Lake and data platforms, utilizing the power of data to data scientists, data engineers, and business users.
Your Role :
- Design, build, test and deploy innovative solutions at scale, impacting millions of customers worldwide drive value from data at our organization scale.
- Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements, including automating manual processes, optimizing data lake, re-designing infrastructure for greater scalability.
- Key focus areas include data lake optimization, automation of manual tasks, security enhancement and monitoring of data pipelines.
- Collaborate with engineering teams across different regions to leverage expertise and contribute to the tech community.
- Work with Project Management and Business teams to drive agendas, set priorities, and deliver solutions by harnessing the power of data.
Who You Are :
- At least 8 years of relevant experience as Cloud Engineer and deployment of IT Infrastructure in cloud (and on-premises) environments
- Experience as an AWS Cloud Engineer including proficiency with EC2, RDS, S3, VPCs, IAM, Security Groups, SageMaker, Glue, CloudTrail, Route53, Lambdas, AWS Networking, as well as AWS SSO.
- Extensive expertise with Azure DevOps , experience with infrastructure as code (e.g. Terraform, CloudFormation), and familiarity with Linux containers and Kubernetes.
- Proficient in all aspects of code lifecycle, including the design and implementation of CI/CD pipelines, deployment, and operational concerns.
- Skillful in provisioning AWS infrastructure using automated scripts, including S3 buckets, Cloud formation, EC2 machines, databases, SNS and AWS lambda services.
- Knowledgeable in AWS key services, including Architected Framework, Control Tower and Landing Zones, networking concepts such as Transit Gateways, and Inspection VPC's with L7 Firewalls.
- Understanding of AWS RBAC and delegated permissions
- Strong system administration experience including installation, hardening, and patching og Unix/Linux OS, networking, firewalls, load balancers, SSO, DNS, etc.
- Extensive experience in AWS cloud across IaaS and PaaS services including compute, storage, networking, containers, serverless, data, analytics, IoT, AI/ML, media, DevOps, and AWS migration & modernization services.
- Familiarity with hybrid cloud and private cloud architectures, cloud design patterns and overall knowledge of OS, middleware, databases, NoSQL, ESB, Integration, APIs, Web services, REST.
- A team player with the ability to be able to work with virtual teams.
- AWS Certifications are preferred, along with experience in regulated environments such as GxP, Banking, Pharma, etc.
