Manager - Production

Roles and Responsibilities

• Shall be over all in-charge of the plant activities and general administration and shall report to president (Technical and operations).

• Shall be total in-charge of Stores, Production, Packing and administration.

• Shall plan and ensure daily productivity and output as per plan.

• Shall update inventory status of warehouse and list of nonmoving goods.

• Shall update the plant activity to supply the chain management system (SCM) head in relations to last date of supply (LDS) for production and supplies.

• Shall coordinate with purchase department to ensure timely receipts of goods.

• Shall control on requirement of manpower as per work load in the plant.

• Shall be accountable for scrap/wastage accounting and correlation with expected output.

• Shall be responsible to provide update batch costing periodically.

• Shall target faster turnaround of inventory by scheduling material receipts and promoting production to achieve operational economy.

• Shall control, coordinate and reduce break down through effective monitoring of maintenance and production departments.

• Approval of all validation protocol, review of SOP and Qualification of protocol.

• Certified person for performing the internal audits.

• Responsible for execution and monitoring of overall production activity as defined in quality management procedure.

• Responsible for coordination with other department for smooth operation.

• Responsible for ensuring correct operation and cleaning procedure for all process equipments.

• Responsible for ensuring correct cleanliness of production area and cubicles.

• Responsible for cleaning & sanitization of washing area and drain points.

• Responsible for handling of machine parts and accessories.

• Responsible for maintaining equipment usage log.

• Responsible for semi-finished and bulk finished product.

• Responsible for punches and dies, Handing inspection and polishing etc.

• Responsible for ensuring the environment monitoring condition of respective process area as per the requirements.

• Responsible for reconciliation of product and rejects.

• Responsible for ensuring cleaning and operation of equipments as per SOP.

• Responsible for ensuring the workmen are allocated work based on competency matrix.

• Responsible for handling and control of Tool room and accessories.

• Responsible for training of subordinates related to operational, cleaning and general activities with respect to the cGMP Compliance.

• Responsible for ensuring cGMP compliance of production activities.

• Responsible for preparation of standard operating procedures, review of master documents such as master batch manufacturing records, validation protocols, qualification protocols and cleaning validation protocols.

• Responsible for day to day quality output monitoring and reporting.

• Responsible for handling of deviation and change control related to the department.

• Responsible for handling of sieves and screens.

• Responsible for receipt and verification of dispense of raw material.

• Responsible for handling of products during power failure.

• Responsible for participation in market complaint investigation, failure investigation.

• Responsible for effective scrap removal.

• Responsible for participation comply with the deficiency by implementing CAPA and check its effectiveness.

• Responsible for participation in self inspection and compliance.

• Responsible for implementation of changes through change control procedure as a committee member.

• In absence of in-charge of the plant operation, the administrative functions shall be taken care by Head Stores for the production related activities.

Desired Candidate Profile

Candidate should have good communication skills and Pharmaceutical OSD Experience required
