Job Overview:
The Senior Counselor will be responsible for managing and driving the lead generation and inquiry process for the institute. This role involves counseling prospective students and parents, converting inquiries into enrollments, and meeting the sales targets for various courses offered by the institute. The Senior Counselor will lead a team of junior counselors, develop strategies to boost inquiries, and nurture leads to ensure a high conversion rate.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead Generation & Management:
- Develop and execute strategies to generate new leads through online and offline channels.
- Work closely with the marketing team to ensure proper execution of lead generation campaigns (digital marketing, offline events, etc.).
- Track, manage, and convert leads using CRM systems to ensure timely follow-ups and conversions.
2. Counseling & Admissions:
- Counsel prospective students and their families through detailed discussions to identify their educational goals, interests, and suitability for the instituteâs programs.
- Conduct telephonic and in-person counseling sessions to convert leads into enrollments.
- Understand and explain course offerings, admission processes, fees, and other relevant details to prospective students.
3. Sales Targets & Business Development:
- Achieve and exceed monthly/quarterly enrollment targets by successfully converting leads into confirmed admissions.
- Collaborate with the business development team to explore new markets and opportunities for partnerships to increase lead flow.
- Create and execute innovative sales campaigns and promotions in coordination with the marketing team.
4. Data Analysis & Reporting:
- Monitor and analyze inquiry and conversion data, identifying trends and areas for improvement.
- Generate regular reports on inquiries, conversions, and counseling outcomes for management review.
- Provide insights on improving processes based on lead quality, feedback from students, and market trends.
5. Team Leadership & Training:
- Mentor and manage a team of junior counselors, providing training, guidance, and support to improve their performance.
- Ensure the team adheres to the instituteâs counseling and sales protocols, and deliver consistent customer service.
6. Customer Relationship Management:
- Build strong relationships with prospective students and parents, providing excellent service throughout the counseling process.
- Maintain follow-up communication with leads who have not yet enrolled and explore reasons for non-conversion to improve counseling effectiveness.
7. Event Participation:
- Participate in educational fairs, seminars, and other promotional events to represent the institute and generate leads.
- Conduct information sessions and webinars for prospective students.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelorâs degree in any field (Masterâs degree preferred).
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in student counseling, admissions, or sales roles, preferably within the education sector.
- Proven track record in meeting and exceeding sales/enrollment targets.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and work under pressure.
- Proficient in using CRM systems and MS Office.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Leadership and team management experience.
Salary Range: 5 lakh to 7.5 lakh
