Job Description
- Having extensive experience in AWS cloud
- Proficient in Oracle, Data Guard and RMAN
- Expertise in managing databases in a cloud environment, preferable RDS.
- Hands-on experience in AWS Lambda / Cloud formation / Service catalog
- Having good experience in administrating PostgreSQL or MySql
- Increase Security and enhance Compliance in AWS
- Proactively maintain the overall health of all databases
- Troubleshoot performance and stability issues.
- Proficiency in Unix shell / Python scripting.
- Proficiency in SQL / PL/SQL.
- Ability to apply software maintenance upgrades (including security patches) and fixes.
- Monitoring backups of the database on a regular basis and work with backup team.
- Monitoring space management at database and server level.
- Identify Business Critical alerts from all production databases and find a root cause and solution.
- Monitoring oracle physical standby and replicas and rebuild / re-sync if necessary.
- Ability to perform Code Deployments.
- Check for the database long running queries and provide recommendations.
