Factory Manager

Role & responsibilities

Leadership & Strategy:

• Develop and implement operational strategies aligned with the company's goals and objectives.
• Provide visionary leadership to all departments, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
• Set performance goals and metrics for the operations team, ensuring alignment with the company's strategic direction.

Operational Management:

• Oversee the manufacturing plant's daily operations, ensuring optimal resource utilization.
• Develop and manage production schedules to meet customer demand and quality standards.
• Ensure efficient inventory control, minimizing waste, and optimizing supply chain processes.
• Coordinate effectively with the QA, QC, Production, Stores and Purchases, and GD departments for smooth production planning.
• Provide monthly reports on overtime levels, back orders, on-time shipments (OTIF), sales revenue, and inventory.

Quality Assurance & Compliance:

• Ensure that all products meet quality standards and regulatory requirements.
• Oversee quality control processes, implementing improvements as necessary.
• Maintain compliance with industry standards, including GMP, Safety, and ISO/client quality certifications, with the help of the Quality Assurance department.

Financial Management:

• Develop and manage the operational budget, ensuring cost-effective operations.
• Monitor factory performance, identifying areas for cost reduction and efficiency improvement.
• Provide factory performance reports and analyses to senior management.

Team Development & Management:

• Build and lead a high-performing team, fostering a collaborative and results-oriented work environment.
• Conduct performance evaluations, providing feedback and development opportunities for team members.
• Ensure effective communication and coordination among departments.

Process Improvement:

• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance production efficiency and product quality.
• Leverage technology and innovation to streamline operations and reduce costs.
• Conduct regular reviews of operational processes, making adjustments as needed.

Safety & Maintenance:

• Ensure a safe working environment for all employees, adhering to safety regulations and best practices.
• Oversee maintenance programs to ensure the reliability and efficiency of equipment and facilities.
• Develop and implement safety protocols and emergency response plans.

Experience Required:

• Extensive experience in managing operations in a cosmetic manufacturing environment.
• Proven track record in leadership roles with significant exposure to production planning, quality assurance, supply chain coordination, and financial oversight.
• Hands-on experience with regulatory compliance in the personal care and cosmetics industry.
