Engineering Manager

Role & responsibilities

Your Role & Responsibilities will include the following:

1. Manage the entire operations of the engineering department.

a. Ensure preventive maintenance and operation of all the utilities of engineering department.

b. Ensure that all the complaints are attended and rectified timely to prevent any loss of work.

c. Deal with the manpower contractors for day-to- day problems.

d. Check maintenance works in OT and checks records.

e. Ensure general upkeep and discipline in the department.

f. Coordinate with the purchase and finance department for procurement and payment of the required material.

g. Ensure maintenance of all the required records.

2. Coordinate with the various departments for smooth operation of the maintenance/ engineering work.

a. Fix- up a convenient time with the respective department to carry out the scheduled work.

b. Inform all the concerned department about the scheduled work.

c. Ensure timely completion of the work.

3. Coordinate with the external agencies.

a. Contact the concerned companies for the formation of AMC for various equipments, and provide the

required information to the administration department for the preparation of the AMC and CMC.

b. Coordinate with the various external agencies for energy audit.

4. Prepare schedule for preventive maintenance.

a. Draft preventive maintenance schedule on the basis of the manufacturers manual and self- experience.

b. Ensure implementation of the drafted schedule.

c. Coordinate with the various departments for carrying out the required job.

5. Prepare annual budget.

a. Plan upgradations and modifications to be carried out in the coming year.

b. Prepare budget and submit it to Head Engineering

c. Coordinate with the ISO agencies for ISO audit and documentation.

6. Report Generation.

a. Generation of the MIS report.

b. Draft a report for monitoring every major breakdown.

c. Prepare spare part requirement with coronation by purchase dept.

d. Prepare a report of inspection/ operation /Incident of engineering utility.

e. Maintain machine history cards.

7. Energy conservation

a. Look into areas where energy can be conserved.

b. Implement energy conservation alternatives.

c. Monitor electricity, PNG and water consumption.

8. Activities:

a) Operating & Maintenance of UPS system.

b) Operating & Maintenance of Boiler plant & solar plant.

c) Operating of D.G. sets.

d) Maintenance of Air Compressor & Vacuum Pumps.

e) Operating & Maintenance of IBMS system.

f) Recruitment of engineering staff.

g) AMC & CMC tie ups & documentation.

h) Maintenance of WTP & R/O PLANT.

i) Maintenance of Pneumatic carrier system.

j) Training of staff.

k) Documentation of engineering department.

l) Operating & Maintenance of HVAC Systems.

m) Operating & Maintenance of Electrical Systems.

n) Maintenance of Gas Manifold Systems.

o) Maintenance of CCTV & Firefighting systems.

p) Maintenance of Elevators.

a. Maintenance of pumps & motors.

b. Maintenance of EPABX system.

c. Maintenance of Data center/Server rooms
