Deputy Manager, Finance & Accounts (MIAPE)

Job Purpose

Manage day-to-day financial operations, maintain accurate financial records, reconcile accounts, prepare reports, and ensure compliance with financial policies and regulations.

Key Responsibilities

Core Responsibilities:

• Reconcile fee receipts with student enrolment and payment records for accuracy.
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies in fee receipts (missing payments, overpayments, etc.).
• Collaborate with Sales, Faculty, and Centre Managers to address fee discrepancies.
• Monitor outstanding balances and provide cash flow reports.
• Prepare detailed analyses of fee receipts (trends, variances, balances).
• Develop and implement financial policies and controls ensuring compliance.
• Prepare and manage annual budgets, including revenue/expense forecasts.
• Oversee financial transactions, accounts payable/receivable, and payroll.
• Prepare financial statements and manage audit compliance.
• Stay updated on accounting standards, regulations, and industry trends.

Qualifications & Experience

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
• MBA or CPA preferred.

Experience:

• 5+ years in financial management.
• Experience in educational institutions (preferred).

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in financial software and MS Excel.
• Experience with ERP systems (preferred).
• Strong analytical and domain expertise.

Behavioural Skills

• Team player with strong interpersonal skills.
• Decision-making and problem-solving ability.

Languages

• Proficiency in English and Hindi.
