Position Summary

As a Team Lead and Manager in Revenue Cycle Management, you will oversee and coordinate the daily operations of the revenue cycle team, ensuring accurate billing, efficient collections, and compliance with healthcare regulations. You will lead a team, analyze KPIs, and implement strategies to enhance operational efficiency and financial performance. This role demands strong leadership, analytical capabilities, and in-depth knowledge of RCM practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Operational Management:
• Oversee day-to-day operations in AR, charges, and payments, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
• Monitor task completion, quality standards, and adherence to deadlines.

• Performance Metrics:
• Track and analyze KPIs such as AR days, denial rates, clean claim rates, and revenue collection rates.
• Identify trends and implement improvement strategies.

• Compliance and Quality Assurance:
• Ensure team adherence to healthcare regulations (e.g., HIPAA, Medicare).
• Conduct regular audits and implement corrective actions to maintain accuracy in processes.

• Technology and Process Optimization:
• Evaluate and implement technologies and automated processes to enhance efficiency.
• Lead process improvement initiatives to reduce costs and accelerate revenue cycles.

• Problem Solving and Staff Development:
• Resolve claim denials, billing errors, and patient inquiries efficiently.
• Train and mentor team members to foster professional growth and adapt to industry changes.

• Collaboration and Resource Management:
• Coordinate with other departments to optimize revenue cycle outcomes.
• Oversee resource allocation and budgeting for the team.

Required Skills and Knowledge

• Comprehensive knowledge of RCM processes (AR, billing, payments).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Analytical and problem-solving abilities to handle complex billing scenarios.
• Proficiency in prioritizing and managing work queues.
• Ability to lead, work independently, and collaborate within a team.
• Adaptability to evolving industry trends and challenges.

Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum 10 years of experience in Revenue Cycle Management, with at least 3+ years in a leadership role.
• Bachelors degree Mandatory in any field.
• Preferred certifications: CRCR, HFMA, or equivalent in RCM.
