Purchase Executive

Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Purchase Executive to oversee the procurement of aluminium scrap from various factories and suppliers. The ideal candidate will have experience in raw material sourcing, vendor management, price negotiation, and logistics coordination to ensure an efficient supply chain.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Procurement & Sourcing:
   
• Identify and establish relationships with factories, suppliers, and scrap dealers for aluminium scrap procurement.
• Conduct market research to source the best quality aluminium scrap at competitive prices.
• Develop and maintain a reliable supplier base to ensure a steady supply.
2. Negotiation & Vendor Management:
   
• Negotiate contracts, pricing, and payment terms with suppliers to optimize costs.
• Evaluate supplier performance based on quality, delivery time, and service.
• Build strong relationships with existing and new vendors to enhance procurement efficiency.
3. Logistics & Supply Chain Coordination:
   
• Coordinate with transporters and logistics teams for timely pickup and delivery of scrap materials.
• Monitor inventory levels and plan procurement schedules to avoid shortages or excess stock.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and environmental norms related to scrap handling and transportation.
4. Quality Control & Compliance:
   
• Inspect and ensure that procured aluminium scrap meets quality standards and specifications.
• Work closely with the quality control team to resolve any material issues.
• Ensure adherence to government regulations, safety guidelines, and company policies regarding scrap procurement.
5. Documentation & Reporting:
   
• Maintain accurate records of purchases, supplier agreements, and price fluctuations.
• Prepare periodic reports on procurement activities, market trends, and cost savings.
• Coordinate with finance and accounts teams for timely vendor payments and documentation.
