Mechanical Fitter (Aluminium)

Key Responsibilities:

• Installation & Assembly:
• Install, assemble, and align mechanical systems and machinery, focusing on aluminium components.
• Ensure all mechanical systems meet specifications and performance standards.

• Maintenance & Repair:
• Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting on aluminium machinery and mechanical systems.
• Diagnose mechanical faults and recommend solutions.
• Ensure timely repairs to minimize downtime and production delays.

• Safety & Compliance:
• Adhere to safety standards and protocols while working with mechanical and aluminium systems.
• Conduct risk assessments and ensure compliance with environmental and health & safety regulations.
• Maintain and operate equipment in accordance with safety guidelines.

• Fabrication & Modifications:
• Work with aluminium materials to fabricate custom parts and modify mechanical systems as required.
• Utilize mechanical and welding techniques to ensure the durability and functionality of aluminium components.

• Documentation & Reporting:
• Maintain accurate records of work completed, including repairs, installations, and maintenance procedures.
• Complete work orders and prepare reports for management review.
• Document parts usage and inventory for timely replenishment.

• Collaboration:
• Work closely with the engineering and production teams to ensure the effective functioning of mechanical systems.
• Provide technical support and guidance to junior fitters and apprentices.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Experience:
• Proven experience (typically 3+ years) as a Mechanical Fitter or similar role, with a focus on aluminium or metalworking industries.
• Freshers can also apply.
• Hands-on experience with aluminium fabrication, fitting, and welding.
• Experience with the assembly, installation, and maintenance of industrial machinery and mechanical systems.

• Skills:
• Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles and systems.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to diagnose mechanical issues.
• Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment, specifically for aluminium.
• Qualifications:
• Technical certification in Mechanical Engineering, Fitting, or a related field.

• Physical Requirements:
  
• Ability to lift heavy objects.
• Capable of working in physically demanding environments.
