About the position:
We are looking for an Accountant/Senior Accountant to undertake all aspects of financial accounting and financial reporting. Further, provide support for statutory audits, year-end financial audits, and tax filing. You will have and strong engagement with external auditors and cross-functional teams. In this position, you report to the Finance Controller.

What you will be responsible for:

• Prepare and analyze journal entries and audit schedules
• Assist with the month end close processes (elimination entries, recurring entries, and accruals)
• Preparation of monthly balance sheet reconciliations
• Accurate and timely completion and publishing of monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial statements
• You will analyze financial statements, investigating and correcting any errors or inconsistencies.
• Conduct ad-hoc projects to include analyzing large volumes of data and communicating your findings.
• Lean on your expertise and critical thinking skills to identify processes that could impact financial performance and implement solutions.
• Monitor compliance with generally accepted accounting principles and company procedures.
• Proactively identifying issues and recommending solutions based on the accounting principals
  
  

What you will bring to Maropost:

• Chartered Accountant or equivalent qualifications with 2-4 years post-qualification experience
• Strong understanding of accounting and finance concepts. Firsthand experience on finance systems Netsuite.
• Experience with a-national clients (other than India) will be an added advantage.
• Program management capabilities with great prioritization skills.
• Exceptional communication skills.
• Public accounting firm experience is an asset
• Excellent analytical and Business Application (Microsoft Excel ) skills.
• Initiative-taker, ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Working experience in a multi-currency environment is an asset.
