About the Role :
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Data Scientist with a strong background in the insurance domain to join our team.
As a Data Scientist, you will play a critical role in leveraging data to drive key business decisions, improve operational efficiency, and gain a competitive advantage.
You will work closely with business stakeholders to understand their needs and apply data science techniques to solve complex challenges within the insurance industry.
Key Responsibilities :
- Analyze large and complex datasets from various sources within the insurance domain (e.g , claims data, policy data, customer data).
- Develop and implement predictive models for various insurance applications, such as:
- Customer Churn Prediction: Identify customers at high risk of churn and develop strategies to retain them.
Fraud Detection: Develop models to identify and prevent fraudulent claims.
Risk Assessment: Develop models to assess risk and price insurance policies accurately.
Customer Segmentation: Segment customers based on their risk profiles and behavior to personalize product offerings and improve customer experiences.
- Utilize statistical and machine learning techniques (e.g , regression, classification, clustering, decision trees, neural networks) to build and deploy predictive models.
- Extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from various sources into data warehouses and data lakes.
- Cleanse and prepare data for analysis, ensuring data quality and accuracy.
- Develop and maintain data pipelines for efficient data processing and analysis.
- Leverage expertise in Guidewire PolicyCenter, ClaimCenter, and BillingCenter to understand data structures and business processes within the Guidewire ecosystem.
- Utilize Guidewire data for analysis and model development.
- Develop and deliver insightful reports and dashboards to communicate data-driven insights to business stakeholders.
- Present findings and recommendations to business leaders in a clear and concise manner.
- Stay abreast of the latest advancements in data science, machine learning, and the insurance industry.
- Explore and implement new data science techniques and technologies to improve business outcomes.
Qualifications :
Essential :
- 4+ years of experience as a Data Scientist with a strong focus on the insurance domain.
- Proven experience in developing and deploying data science models in a business environment.
- Strong proficiency in SQL and experience working with large datasets.
- Experience with data visualization tools (e.g , Power BI, Tableau).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Master's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field
