Job Summary:

Marg ERP Ltd. is seeking a Commercial Operations Manager to oversee and optimize the company's commercial operations, including channel partner management, license activations, collections, internal audits, and MIS reporting. The role requires a dynamic leader who can streamline business processes, drive revenue growth, manage financial transactions, and ensure compliance with company policies. The ideal candidate will have expertise in financial operations, ERP software, partner relations, and internal control mechanisms.


Key Responsibilities:


1. Channel Partner Management & Commercial Engagement:

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with channel partners, distributors, and resellers.
  • Oversee the partner onboarding process, ensuring all commercial agreements, licensing, and financial documentation are in place.
  • Monitor partner performance, track sales revenue, and ensure compliance with Marg ERPs business model.
  • Manage commercial contracts, pricing structures, and revenue-sharing agreements with partners.
  • Conduct regular audits of channel partners to verify adherence to licensing, financial, and operational policies.
  • Develop strategies to increase partner engagement and drive higher sales volumes.

2. License Activation & Subscription Management:

  • Oversee the activation, renewal, and compliance of software licenses for partners and customers.
  • Ensure efficient processing of licensing requests, reducing delays and service disruptions.
  • Implement automated tracking systems to monitor license expirations and renewals.
  • Collaborate with the technical and sales teams to address licensing issues and customer concerns.
  • Manage discount approvals, promotional offers, and partner incentives related to software licenses.

3. Financial Collections & Revenue Assurance:

  • Develop and implement effective credit control and collection strategies to minimize outstanding dues.
  • Ensure timely invoicing, payment collection, and reconciliation with partners and customers.
  • Analyze aging reports and outstanding balances, initiating follow-ups for overdue payments.
  • Work with finance teams to optimize billing cycles, revenue forecasting, and cash flow management.
  • Develop and enforce penalty policies for non-compliance with financial terms.

4. Internal Auditing & Compliance (Partners & Employees):

  • Conduct regular audits of partners and internal employees to ensure transparency and compliance.
  • Identify financial irregularities, operational risks, and fraud cases, implementing corrective actions.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies, financial regulations, and government norms.
  • Work closely with the legal and finance teams to review contracts and financial documentation.
  • Implement cost control measures to improve operational efficiency and profitability.

5. Management Information System (MIS) & Data Analytics:

  • Develop and maintain detailed MIS reports on revenue, collections, licensing, and partner performance.
  • Use data analytics and BI tools to provide strategic insights for business decision-making.
  • Prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly financial reports for senior management.
  • Implement automated dashboards and reporting mechanisms to enhance data visibility.
  • Track market trends, customer behavior, and business risks to optimize commercial strategies.

6. Process Optimization & Business Efficiency:

  • Identify process bottlenecks in commercial operations and implement solutions for efficiency.
  • Develop SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) for licensing, collections, and partner management.
  • Work with IT teams to integrate automation tools that streamline financial and commercial workflows.
  • Establish KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) for commercial operations and ensure regular tracking.
  • Provide training and mentorship to internal teams and partners to improve commercial acumen.


Key Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelors/Masters degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in commercial operations, finance, partner management, or ERP software.
  • Strong understanding of financial management, revenue assurance, and compliance frameworks.
  • Hands-on experience with ERP software, financial tools, CRM systems, and data analytics.
  • Expertise in contract negotiations, risk management, and legal compliance related to business operations.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills to interact with partners and internal teams.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects, deadlines, and financial audits effectively.
