Mechanical Design Engineer

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Design Manager with significant experience in the design and management of rotating equipment and piping systems. The ideal candidate will lead the mechanical design team and oversee various mechanical design projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and delivering quality solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Rotating Equipment Design: Oversee the design, analysis, and specification of rotating equipment, including VT Pumps and Horizontal Pumps.
• Sliding Gates: Design and manage the specifications for sliding gates, ensuring proper functionality and alignment with project requirements.
• Piping Design & Valve Selection: Lead the design of piping systems and the selection of appropriate valves based on system requirements and standards.
• Vendor Document Review: Review and approve technical documents and drawings from vendors to ensure compliance with project specifications and quality standards.
• Specification Preparation: Prepare and review detailed specifications for pumps, gates, and valves, ensuring they meet industry standards, project requirements, and client expectations.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Education: B.Tech (Mechanical) / M.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Experience: 10-15 years of experience in mechanical design, with a focus on rotating equipment, pumps, gates, and valves.
• Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of rotating equipment (specifically VT pumps and horizontal pumps), piping design, and valve selection.
• Vendor Documentation: Experience in reviewing vendor documents and ensuring adherence to technical and quality standards.
• Leadership: Proven track record of managing and mentoring a team of engineers to deliver high-quality design solutions.

• Communication: Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with internal teams, clients, and vendors.
• Problem Solving: Ability to tackle complex mechanical design challenges and provide innovative solutions.
