Job Description
- Oversee all finance and accounting activities, identifying areas of improvement, ensuring efficient control and utilisation of all financial resources.
- Oversee preparation of financial feasibility studies, financial analysis, forecasting of revenues and projection of financial statements including cash flow.
- Monitor accounting of revenue and expenses to ensure that all the receipts and payments are accurately accounted for in the books in a timely manner.
- Direct the execution of Finance and Accounts activities to ensure that all payment, contract, accruals and related transactions are treated in an appropriate manner according to internal and statutory controls, as well as appropriate international standards.
- Direct the maintenance of fixed asset records to ensure fixed assets accounting and amortization are performed in a timely and accurate manner.
- Review the contracts and agreements with vendors and third parties so as to protect companys interests and ensure that all invoices and payments comply with the relevant terms and conditions.
- Monitor cash and bank reconciliation to ensure adequate controls over banking arrangements and the receipt and disbursement of cash and cheques; review and resolve variances.
- Monitor trial balances on a periodic basis, review cash projection and make recommendations/requests funds accordingly.
- Review reports of auditors to monitor adequacy of scope of reports or to discover specific weaknesses in internal routines
- Handle the yearly closing of accounting books providing all the required information and support for the compliance of the process with the banking policies and legislations.
