Job Summary:
The Senior Manager of Finance and Accounts will oversee the financial operations of the company, ensuring accurate financial reporting, adherence to regulatory requirements, and implementation of efficient financial processes. This role involves strategic financial planning, budgeting, and analysis to support the company's financial health and business growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting and Analysis:
Prepare and present accurate financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual statements.
Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
Ensure compliance with accounting standards (GAAP/IFRS) and regulatory requirements.
Budgeting and Forecasting:
Lead the annual budgeting process, including coordinating with different departments.
Develop financial forecasts and models to support strategic planning and decision-making.
Monitor budget adherence and recommend corrective actions as needed.
Financial Operations:
Oversee daily financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger functions.
Implement and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard company assets.
Streamline and improve financial processes and systems.
Strategic Financial Management:
Provide financial insights and recommendations to support business strategy and growth.
Collaborate with senior management to develop long-term financial goals and plans.
Evaluate and manage financial risks and opportunities.
Team Leadership and Development:
Lead, mentor, and develop the finance and accounts team, promoting a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.
Conduct performance reviews and provide ongoing feedback and support to team members.
Compliance and Audit:
Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and standards.
Coordinate and manage external and internal audits.
Implement recommendations from audit findings to improve financial integrity.
Stakeholder Management:
Act as a liaison between the finance department and other departments, providing financial insights and support.
Communicate financial performance and strategies to stakeholders, including senior management and the board of directors.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; Master's degree (MBA, MFin) preferred.
Certification: CPA, CMA, or equivalent certification required.
Experience: Minimum of 8-10 years of progressive experience in finance and accounting, with at least 3-5 years in a managerial role.
Skills:
Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and reporting standards.
Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
