The Deputy Manager - Marketplace in the jewelry industry is responsible for managing and growing the online presence of jewelry products on various e-commerce platforms. Key Responsibilities:

1. Marketplace Operations:

• Manage daily operations on key e-commerce platforms like Amazon, Flipkart, Myntra, and others specific to jewelry.
• Ensure the timely and accurate listing of jewelry products, including descriptions, images, pricing, and inventory updates.
• Monitor category rankings, product reviews, and ratings to maintain a premium brand presence.

2. Sales and Revenue Growth:

• Develop strategies to maximize sales and revenue across marketplaces.
• Plan and execute promotions, campaigns, and special offers tailored to the jewelry category.
• Optimize product pricing and positioning to remain competitive while preserving margins.

3. Product and Content Management:

• Collaborate with design and content teams to create high-quality images and detailed descriptions that highlight product features like design, material, and craftsmanship.
• Ensure all listings adhere to marketplace guidelines for the jewelry category.

4. Payment Reconciliation:

• Regularly reconcile payments received from marketplaces with sales reports to ensure accuracy.
• Address discrepancies or delays in payments by coordinating with marketplace account teams.
• Maintain a record of open payments and follow up to ensure timely collection.
• Provide regular financial updates to management, highlighting any unresolved payment issues.

5. Relationship Management:

6. Inventory and Supply Chain Coordination:

• Work closely with inventory and logistics teams to ensure stock availability and timely order fulfillment.
• Monitor slow-moving items and coordinate clearance or discount strategies.

7. Data Analysis and Reporting:

• Analyze marketplace performance metrics, including sales, traffic, and conversion rates.
• Prepare detailed reports for management, highlighting key trends and areas for improvement.

8. Compliance and Quality Assurance:

• Ensure all listings comply with marketplace regulations, particularly those related to hallmarking, authenticity, and material declarations.
• Maintain brand integrity by ensuring consistent quality across all products.

9. Market Research:

• Stay updated on industry trends, consumer preferences, and competitor strategies within the jewelry sector.
• Recommend new product ideas and adjustments based on market insights.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelors degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, or a related field.
• 5-8 years of experience in marketplace management, preferably within the jewelry or luxury goods sector.
• Deep understanding of the jewelry industry, including product categories, materials, and pricing structures.
• Experience with payment reconciliation and financial management.
• Proficiency in e-commerce platforms and tools like Seller Central, Excel, and analytics platforms.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Experience with digital marketing and SEO for marketplaces is a plus.
