Java Developer

Job DescriptionAs a Java Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality software solutions for our banking clients. You will be working closely with our team of experienced engineers to deliver cutting-edge solutions that meet the evolving needs of the banking industry.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement Java-based applications for banking systems, leveraging your strong understanding of Core Java 8 and above, including concepts like multithreading, collections, exception handling, and design patterns.
• Collaborate with business analysts, product owners, and other developers to understand requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Write clean, well-documented, and efficient code using best practices, ensuring adherence to Java standards and coding guidelines.
• Conduct code reviews and participate in the development process to ensure high quality and maintainable code.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in a timely and efficient manner, demonstrating your strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and trends in the Java development landscape, including new Java versions and features, and incorporating them into your development workflow.
• Contribute to the development and maintenance of our internal frameworks and libraries, ensuring their robustness and efficiency.
• Participate in agile development methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban), contributing to continuous improvement efforts and fostering a collaborative development environment.
• Implement data structures and algorithms effectively within your code, demonstrating your understanding of their importance in efficient and scalable development.
• Work with various databases (e.g., Oracle, MySQL), utilizing your knowledge of SQL to effectively query, manipulate, and manage data.
• Develop and maintain robust APIs, ensuring they meet the required specifications and security standards.
• Demonstrate familiarity with Linux, enabling you to work efficiently in our development environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 5+ years of experience in Java development.
• Proven experience in developing applications within the banking domain.
• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming principles and design patterns.
• Proficient in Java 8 and above, including core Java concepts, multithreading, collections, exception handling, and design patterns.
• Experience with Spring Framework (Spring Boot, Spring Data, Spring Security) and related technologies.
• Experience with relational databases (e.g., Oracle, MySQL) and SQL.
• Experience with APIs and their development.
• Understanding of data structures and their applications in software development.
• Experience with agile development methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Passion for learning and staying updated with the latest technologies.
• Familiarity with Linux operating system.
