Inspecting and testing the operation of electrical components and systems
Installing new industrial electrical systems, including wiring, conduit, and electrical apparatus
Identifying and repairing electrical problems using a variety of testing devicesReading and interpreting electrical and electronic circuit blueprints, diagrams, and schematics
Carrying out preventive maintenance to avoid unnecessary repairs and downtime in the factory
Documenting repairs and maintenance procedures for future reference
Adhering to all safety policies, procedures, and regulations to ensure a safe working environment
Communicating effectively with management, engineers, and co-workers about maintenance progress and challenges
Training other electricians and apprentices and supervising their work
Ordering and maintaining inventory of electrical supplies and equipment Install, repair, and maintain electrical components of industrial equipment.
Work as a team member or alone to complete projects.
Read and understand technical diagrams and blueprints.
Perform general electrical maintenance.
Inspect transformers and circuit breakers and other electrical components.
Troubleshoot electrical issues using appropriate testing devices.
Repair and replace equipment, electrical wiring, or fixtures.
Follow National Electrical Code state and local building regulations.
Circuit breaker corrective maintenance.
Good knowledge of heating and air conditioning systems.
Good knowledge of various test equipment.
