Job Description

Job Title: Area Sales Officer (ASO) / Area Sales Manager (ASM) - Iron & Steel Industry


Location: MPL House, Pillar no: 75, Balaji Nagar, Mehdipatnam Ring Road,
Hyderabad - 500006 Telangana, India.


Benefits:

  • Package: (ASO) 24k DOE and must have iron and steel industry experience.
  • ASM 35k (DOE) for Steel pipes experience and 30k for iron and steel industry experience.
  • Other benefits will dependent to the package and provided as per the company's policies.

Note: Only Iron and steel industry profiles are preferred.


Job Summary:


We are seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Area Sales Officer/Area Sales Manager to join our dynamic sales team within the iron and steel industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and expanding our distribution network within the assigned territory, driving sales growth, and ensuring customer satisfaction. This role requires a strong understanding of the iron and steel market, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and a proven track record of achieving sales targets.


Responsibilities (ASO/ASM - Responsibilities are similar, with ASM having a greater focus on strategy and management):


  • Distributor & Dealer Management: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with existing distributors and dealers within the assigned area. This includes regular visits, performance monitoring, and business development initiatives.
  • Dealer/Distributor Appointment: Identify, recruit, and onboard new dealers and distributors to expand market reach and penetration. Evaluate potential partners based on their market presence, financial stability, and alignment with company objectives.
  • Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions. This includes regular visits to fabricators and other end-users.
  • Sales Generation: Drive sales growth by effectively promoting the company's products and services to distributors, dealers, and end-users. Achieve and exceed assigned sales targets.
  • Cold Calling (ASO - Optional for Female Candidates, Field Visits if Interested): Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities through cold calling and other lead generation activities. Field visits are a core expectation for all roles, excluding cold calling for female ASO candidates.
  • Order Fulfilment & Payment Follow-up: Ensure timely and accurate order processing and fulfilment. Proactively follow up with clients for payments to maintain healthy cash flow.
  • Complaint Resolution: Address and resolve customer complaints promptly and efficiently, ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Brand Awareness & Promotion: Promote the company's brand and products through various marketing initiatives, including participation in industry events and implementation of marketing schemes.
  • Market Analysis: Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences to identify opportunities for growth and improvement. (ASM - More strategic analysis and reporting)

Qualifications (ASO):


  • Bachelor's degree in any discipline.
  • Proven experience in the iron and steel industry is essential.
  • Results-oriented with a proven track record of achieving sales targets.
  • Willingness to travel within the assigned territory.

Qualifications (ASM):


  • Bachelor's degree in any discipline; MBA or equivalent preferred.
  • Significant experience (typically 5+ years) in the iron and steel industry, with a focus on steel pipes.
  • Proven track record of managing and growing a sales team.
  • Ability to develop and implement sales strategies.
  • Results-oriented with a proven track record of exceeding sales targets.
  • Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory.
