Role & responsibilities

Bleaching & Finishing Process Management

• Oversee bleaching, mercerization, softening, coating, and finishing processes to enhance fabric properties.
• Develop and implement optimal bleaching recipes based on fabric composition and end-use requirements.
• Control fabric whiteness index, absorbency, and residual chemical content to meet quality standards.
• Optimize chemical dosing and process parameters to ensure cost efficiency and minimal wastage.

2. Process Optimization & Technical Improvements

• Improve fabric handle, shrinkage, lustre, and physical properties through advanced finishing techniques.
• Implement low-liquor ratio processing, enzyme treatments, and eco-friendly bleaching techniques.
• Ensure shade consistency, fabric softness, crease recovery, and dimensional stability in finished fabrics.
• Work with R&D and suppliers to introduce new finishing technologies and sustainable processes.

3. Quality Assurance & Compliance

• Monitor key process parameters such as pH control, temperature, pressure, and dwell time in bleaching and finishing.
• Conduct lab-scale trials and bulk production trials to validate process efficiency.
• Ensure adherence to AATCC, ISO, and OEKO-TEX standards for chemical and physical testing.
• Minimize fabric defects like streaking, uneven dyeing, over-bleaching, and yellowing.

4. Team & Production Management

• Lead and train a team of Second-line leaders, machine operators, and quality control personnel.
• Ensure efficient utilization of stenters, sanforising machines, padding mangles, and hydro extractors.
• Monitor production schedules, chemical inventory, and machine maintenance for uninterrupted operations.

Preferred candidate profile

Must have Experience in Finishing & Bleaching

Looking for a departmental Leader who can handle department individually

Must have experience in Woven Fabric, PV, PC Finishing and bleaching

Can Speak Gujarati
