The role requires a highly skilled Techno-Functional Expert to drive the successful execution and re-engineering of business processes within Order Management (OM), Operational Documentation (OD), and Disputes & Claims while aligning with our Integrator Strategy. This role is pivotal in optimizing workflows, enhancing efficiency, and ensuring seamless process integration across functions.
With a strong blend of technical expertise and business acumen, the position offers high visibility with senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams, playing a critical role in delivering key projects. The ideal candidate will lead process transformation initiatives, collaborate with multiple verticals, and drive continuous improvements that enhance operational effectiveness and business outcomes
Key responsibilities
Techno-Functional Expertise: Translate business requirements into IT solutions, ensuring seamless process and system integration.
Process Optimization: Challenge the status quo in business processes, invoicing policies, and governance to enhance efficiency.
Holistic Solutioning: Work across upgraded platforms, legacy systems (SAP, Aurum, Pace, etc. ), and new technologies for end-to-end process improvements.
Data-Driven Decision Making: Structure process and policy enhancements to improve data visibility and business outcomes.
Innovation & Advisory: Act as a self-starter, analysing processes and recommending innovative solutions.
Process Automation & Governance: Lead transformation initiatives focused on governance, automation, and process re-engineering.
Integrator Strategy Alignment: Develop a unified Ocean & LnS framework to strengthen end-to-end process integration.
Logistics & Services Standardization: Establish detailed processes enabling self-service capabilities for Areas, Regions, and Products.
Project Collaboration: Work independently with project delivery teams, providing process insights, reviewing solution designs, and offering techno-functional inputs.
Size of business handled:
Financial: - Revenue Target: Customer Charter - Improve & Maintain Invoicing Quality to 99% plus & improve Invoicing timeliness. Also work on improving PSI & PAI to 100%
Non-Financial: - Number of Direct Reports: Nil
Primary internal stakeholders
CEN & GSC - Sales, Business, Platform and Functional Product Owners, Commercial organisation & Transformation teams, BRMs, Region and Area Tops, AFLS Project Team & Management, Tech teams
Primary external stakeholders
Key Customers, Consultants, Potential partners
Required qualification, experience & skills
Minimum 7-12 years experience with global, multinational matrix structured organizations
Strong understanding of finance and business drivers both upstream and downstream - in Shipping, Logistics and supply or related industry
Could manage change - understand concepts of change management with demonstrated capabilities.
Ability and experience of identifying business improvement ideas and deliver Business cases.
Good communication skills and ability to engage with senior stakeholders within the organization.
Innovative and creative thinker, with strong problem-solving skills and comfort with managing uncertainties
Proficient in stakeholder management with proven capability to build strong networks and influence decision makers in a matrix organization structure.
Ability to manage cross-functional and remote project teams with well-developed capabilities in project management.
Resilient to change and comfortable with fast shifting priorities, workload, and responsibilities.
Self-starter, self-motivator, comfortable with high level of autonomy, while also a team player
Excellent communication skills both written and oral. Competent and confident public speaker
Willing to work North America (NAM) hours as per business requirements.
Required Business/ Technical Knowledge
Hands on experience in Aurum, Pace, OHP, NetSuite, Navigator, LIG, LIFT, DTBS etc with understanding & experience of AFLS, Tariff Management System (TMS) & SAP, Dispute tools (Dispute View, OHP) etc.
Key measures
Improve Invoicing Quality at 99% and above.
Improve Invoicing timeliness.
Improve PAI & PSI for MGFE to 100%
Data availability for Management decisions and global fixes
SME for Policy governance and End 2 End invoicing process framework
