Warehouse Storage Design Engineer

• We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative Warehouse Storage Design Engineer to join our team
• The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and optimizing storage systems within our warehouse facilities to improve efficiency, maximize space utilization, and ensure smooth operations
• You will work closely with various departments to understand their requirements and develop tailored solutions that meet our storage needs

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop warehouse storage systems, including shelving, racking, and automated solutions
• Analyze warehouse layouts and workflow processes to identify areas for improvement
• Collaborate with the Sales team and Projects team to understand storage requirements and constraints
• Develop and implement strategies to optimize space utilization and storage capacity
• Conduct feasibility studies and cost-benefit analyses for proposed storage solutions
• Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards in storage system design
• Create detailed technical drawings and specifications for storage systems
• Create a BOM list and costing as per design
• Create a Techno - Commercial proposal for customers in a prescribed format
• Manage and oversee the installation and maintenance of storage systems
• Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in warehouse storage technology

Requirements Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
• Proven experience in warehouse storage system design and optimization
• Proficiency in CAD software and other design tools
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
• Knowledge of warehouse management systems and automation technology is a plus
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with Lean Six Sigma principles
• Familiarity with warehouse safety standards and regulations
• Strong project management skills
• Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and dynamic work environment
