Academic Associate - Research and FLN Analysis

Job Summary:

We are seeking enthusiastic and detail-oriented Academic Associates to support research, data analysis, and program development initiatives with a focus on Foundational Literacy and Numeracy (FLN). The ideal candidate will play a critical role in analyzing data, conducting research, and contributing to the design and implementation of FLN-aligned programs and interventions.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Research and Analysis:

• Conduct in-depth research on FLN strategies, best practices, and policy frameworks.
• Analyze assessment data to identify learning gaps and provide actionable insights for improving student outcomes.
• Collaborate with academic teams to evaluate the effectiveness of teaching and learning interventions.

2. Data Management and Reporting:

• Organize and manage large datasets related to student performance, teacher effectiveness, and program implementation.
• Generate detailed reports and visual presentations to communicate findings to stakeholders.
• Track progress against FLN goals and recommend data-driven improvements.

3. Program Support:

• Assist in the design and development of FLN-focused teaching and learning materials.
• Provide academic inputs to ensure alignment with FLN objectives and curriculum standards.
• Support the implementation of capacity-building workshops, teacher training programs, and educational initiatives.

4. Monitoring and Evaluation:

• Support the development of monitoring frameworks to assess the impact of FLN programs.
• Provide regular updates on progress and suggest strategies for achieving better outcomes.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Education, Statistics, Social Sciences, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of Foundational Literacy and Numeracy (FLN) frameworks and goals.
• Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SPSS, or R) and data visualization platforms (e.g., Tableau or Power BI).
• Excellent research skills, with the ability to synthesize academic literature and generate actionable insights.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for report writing and stakeholder presentations.

• Experience in the education sector, particularly in FLN or early-grade interventions.
