The Site Health, Safety, and Environmental lead is responsible for overseeing and coordinating all aspects of HSE management at the site. The role involves developing, implementing, and monitoring HSE policies, procedures, and practices to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company ESMS Plan. The site HSE leads will lead training programs, conduct risk assessments, investigate incidents, and drive continuous improvement initiatives to promote a culture of HSE stewardship within the organization.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
Develop, implement, and maintain company health, safety, and environmental management systems in accordance with regulatory requirements and company ESMS & HSE policies.
Develop, implement and establishing system with respect to IMS standards in ISO:14001 & ISO45001:2018.
Implementation & monitoring of applicable HSE legals & statutory requirements, including BOCW, Factory act etc.
Lead and coordinate HSE training programs for employees, contractors, and visitors to promote awareness and understanding of HSE protocols and procedures.
Conduct regular inspections and audits of the site to identify hazards, assess risks, and ensure compliance with HSE & ESMS standards and regulations and identify opportunity for improvements.
Preparation of Site specific HSE plans, HSE SOP s, HIRA, JSA & assist site team for preparation of risk assessments, safety checklists etc.
Drive Sustainability and CSR initiatives at site level and reporting all ESG parameters.
Collaborate with site management and cross-functional teams to establish HSE goals, objectives, and performance metrics, and monitor progress towards achieving them.
Investigate accidents, incidents, near misses, and other HSE-related events to determine root causes, implement corrective actions, and prevent recurrence.
Maintain records of safety inspections, incidents, training sessions, and other relevant data to track performance and compliance, and prepare reports as needed.
Stay informed about changes in health, safety, and environmental regulations and industry best practices, and communicate updates to relevant stakeholders.
Provide guidance and support to site personnel on safety-related issues, including the safe work procedures, PTW & proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
Participate in emergency response planning and drills and ensure that appropriate measures are in place to respond effectively to incidents and emergencies.
Collaborate with regulatory agencies, contractors, and other external stakeholders on matters related to health, safety, and environmental compliance.
Deal with third parties to implement, environmental monitoring, Hospital tie-ups, waste management, TIP etc.

10+ years of Experience in project execution: Wind& Hybrid -500+ MW
