SmartStream CMS Platform Upgrade Consultant

Our client is a UK subsidiary of a global financial house working in multiple markets and asset classes.

We are looking for highly skilled SmartStream CMS Platform Upgrade Consultant to lead and execute their upgrade of our SmartStream Cash and Liquidity Management (CMS) platform. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in SmartStream CMS, deep knowledge of financial systems, and a proven track record of successful platform upgrades. The consultant will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure a seamless transition, minimize risks, and optimize the upgraded platform's performance.

Responsibilities

Platform Upgrade Management:

• Lead the end-to-end upgrade process of the SmartStream CMS platform, from planning through to execution and post-implementation support.
• Assess the current SmartStream CMS environment and identify areas for improvement during the upgrade.
• Develop a comprehensive upgrade strategy, including data migration and risk management plans.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices during the upgrade process.
• Technical Expertise:
• Analyze and optimize existing SmartStream CMS configurations and workflows.
• Collaborate with technical teams to ensure seamless integration with other financial systems and third-party applications.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance on data migration, system architecture, and performance tuning.
• Stakeholder Management:
• Work closely with business stakeholders to understand their needs and ensure the upgraded platform meets business requirements.
• Communicate upgrade plans, progress, and outcomes to stakeholders at all levels.
• Risk and Issue Management:
• Identify potential risks and issues related to the upgrade and develop mitigation strategies.
• Monitor the upgrade process for any issues and lead troubleshooting efforts as necessary.
• Ensure minimal disruption to business operations during the upgrade process.

Skills

Must have

Experience:

• Proven experience (5+ years) with SmartStream CMS, including previous platform upgrade projects (in particular : CMS Platform 2.8 to CMS 4.2)
• Strong background in financial systems, cash management, intra-day liquidity management and Regulatory Reporting (PRA/BCBS)
• Experience in system integration, data migration, and performance optimization.
• Skills:
• In-depth knowledge of SmartStream CMS platform architecture and functionalities.
• Proficient in SQL, scripting, and other relevant programming languages.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Education
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Finance, or related field. Advanced degree preferred.
