Lucent Innovation - Senior Java Developer - Microservices Architecture/Spring Boot (4-8 yrs)

About the Role :

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Java Developer to join our dynamic engineering team.

In this role, you will play a key part in designing, developing, and maintaining high-performance, scalable, and robust microservices applications.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions that meet business requirements.

Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and deploy microservices using Spring Boot and related technologies.

- Develop RESTful APIs and integrate with other systems.

- Implement and maintain robust and scalable database solutions (MySQL preferred).

- Write clean, well-documented, and maintainable code adhering to best practices.

- Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design, development, testing, and deployment.

- Troubleshoot and debug complex issues.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g, product, design, QA) to ensure successful project delivery.

- Stay abreast of the latest technologies and industry trends in Java and microservices architecture.

- Contribute to the improvement of development processes and tools.

Qualifications :

- 4+ years of professional experience in Java development.

- Strong proficiency in Spring Boot, Spring Framework (Spring MVC, Spring Data JPA, Spring Security).

- Hands-on experience with Microservices architecture, including design principles, API gateways, and service discovery.

- Solid understanding of relational databases (MySQL preferred) and SQL.

- Experience with NoSQL databases (e.g, MongoDB, Cassandra) is a plus.

- Strong understanding of RESTful APIs and API design principles.

- Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.

- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation tools (e.g, Jenkins, GitLab CI).

- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.

- Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.

Nice to Have :

- Experience with message queues (e.g, Kafka, RabbitMQ).

- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).

- Knowledge of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).

- Contributions to open-source projects
