Job Description
- Product Design and Development:
- Utilize CATIA V5 to create 3D models, assemblies, and detailed drawings of products.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including mechanical, electrical, and manufacturing engineers, to develop innovative and functional designs.
- Ensure designs meet technical specifications, performance standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Conceptualization and Ideation:
- Participate in brainstorming sessions to generate and refine design concepts.
- Translate conceptual ideas into feasible design solutions while considering factors like feasibility, manufacturing processes, and cost-effectiveness.
- Prototyping and Testing:
- Assist in the development of prototypes for testing and validation purposes.
- Analyze test data to identify design improvements and optimize product performance.
- Design Documentation:
- Create detailed technical drawings, including dimensions, tolerances, and manufacturing notes, using CATIA V5.
- Good understanding of manufacturing processes, DFMEA, GDT tolerance stack analysis.
- Maintain accurate and organized design documentation throughout the development process.
- Collaboration and Communication:
- Work closely with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless communication and alignment on design objectives.
- Present design concepts and progress updates to team members and stakeholders.
- Problem Solving:
- Identify design challenges and propose innovative solutions to address technical issues.
- Conduct root cause analysis for design-related problems and implement corrective actions.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in design engineering.
- Contribute to process improvements and share knowledge to enhance team performance.
- Working knowledge in Aerospace components is preferable but not mandatory.
- Prior Experience demonstrating the above responsibilities is preferred.
- Bachelor s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Aeronautical Engineering or a related field.
- 3 to 7 years of hands-on experience working with CATIA V5 for product design and development.
- Proficiency in creating complex 3D models, assemblies, and detailed drawings using CATIA V5.
- Strong understanding of engineering principles, materials, and manufacturing processes.
- Familiarity with design analysis and simulation tools is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically about design challenges.
- Effective communication skills for collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and presenting design concepts.
- Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on producing accurate and high-quality design documentation.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Hands on working experience on Aerospace Component Design and Analysis
- Software Catia V5 checker level knowledge is must.
- Ansys and Solidworks software knowledge
