Lead Machine Learning Engineer

Team Overview

Emerging Tech Proof of Concept Team, within Data and Analytics operations function of the London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG), delivers and supports several Data Science capabilities.

The team would work in an Agile manner to prioritise and deliver value at pace whilst maintaining focus on longer term initiatives and technical capabilities to enable continuous improvement of our service offering.

Team will coordinate with Technology to influence the D&A Operations technology roadmap and will partner with D&A Ops leaders to build and nurtures innovation, speed and quality through emerging capabilities.

Responsibilities:

• Overall technical ownership of the solutions developed by the team.
• Develop capabilities / functional modules / workflows for wider usage
• Work with multi-functional teams to understand and scope requirements and implement innovative solutions.
• Own the development of Proof of Concepts, MVP to test the validity of approaches for various use cases.
• Develop codebases/modules to support in deploying AI/ML models using relevant technologies.
• Work closely with Architects, Cloud engineers for integration of developed solutions with Technology platforms.
• Work closely with the team to setup and supervise the evaluation criteria of POCs, MVP.
• Support the team in other relevant areas when required.
• Collaborate with Operations, Technology teams.

Requirements:

• Extensive experience as a Machine Learning Engineer with number of projects in all stages of the ML Lifecycle.
• Proven expertise in developing scalable LLM based solutions for use cases in Extraction, Reasoning and other use cases.
• Strong hands-on expertise in Python programming and SQL, with a deep understanding of best practices.
• Extensive knowledge of various machine learning operations (MLOps) approaches
• Extensive experience in AWS services for compute, hosting, deployment, storage, supervising
• Previous experience of setting up cloud environments, developing and deployment of AI/ML solutions
• Eye for detail and good analytical skills
• Excellent Problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and presentation skills
