Principal Network Engineer

As a highly skilled principal network engineer, you will be responsible for the ongoing support and reliability of all components within the LSEG ecosystem, encompassing platforms, networks, applications, and services. In this role, you will provide escalation support for important network services, ensuring the operational stability and performance of the LSEG global network. You will also find opportunities and improvements, then define requirements for software automation to enhance the features, functions and reliability of the network, underpinning LSEG s digital platforms.

Role Responsibilities

We will play a pivotal role in designing, building, and maintaining systems, software, and applications across various domains, ensuring the highest quality outcomes. We will independently make technical design and amendment decisions, effectively leading the workload.

By analysing data and understanding business requirements, we will translate them into technical specifications, ensuring alignment with infrastructure and network capacity needs. We will develop dashboards to provide near real-time network status.

Collaborating closely with network operations and service teams, we will provide in-depth technical support and guidance for all multicast- and WAN-related issues and implementations. This role requires a proactive problem solver with a deep understanding of multicast protocols, WAN infrastructure, and a passion for delivering exceptional service.

When necessary, we will lead upgrades, coordinating efforts with internal teams and third parties. Building accurate documentation and monitoring system performance are essential to support business activities and continuous improvement.

We will support the deployment of engineering patterns and contribute to creating solutions by coordinating design requirements to be automated, tested and released.
