Job Description
- Producing and editing transcripts in accordance with the transcription style manual
- Auditing transcripts for quality assurance
- Testing and evaluating new production methods.
- Performing additional quality assurance work for transcripts and transcript-related features
- Maintaining research databases
- Assisting with operations and redline processes.
Candidates with a bachelors degree are strongly preferred, but those without degrees will be considered if related work experience is strong.
- Newspaper/magazine/online journalism
- Freelance writing/editing
- English composition teaching
- Editing/proofreading
- Court reporting or other transcription work
- Strong computer skills
- Customer service skills
- Experience working with style guides is a plus.
- Good typing speed (~60WPM)
- MS Office experience, especially Word and Outlook, and the ability to quickly learn new software. Service Cloud experience is a plus.
- A background in finance and knowledge of financial terminology is a plus, although coming from a background type listed above is more important.
- Ability to work independently and make quick decisions.
